The next meeting under the international project Xpress Your Vision took place in Espoo, Finland.

Among the topics, discussed at the meetings, was the current status of the project, the preparation of the Best Practice Brochure, the final contents of several of the web site modules, final strategies and activities for dissemination and exploitation.

On the last day a seminar about employment services for visually impaired people and a visit to Library of accessible formats took place.

In Sofia, a National Conference under the “Establishing a social enterprise “Labor office for visually impaired people” took place; the Rehabilitation for the Blind Foundation is a partner for the town of Plovdiv.

The Rehabilitation for the Blind won a new project under the Leonardo da Vinci Program, called P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Partners within it will be the Sonneheerdt Foundation – the Netherlands, the Sofia University – Department of Special Education, Centre for Social Adaptation of the Groups at Risk – CSAGR, Bulgaria, Camera Work – Italy, Regional Union of the Blind – Italy, the Romanian Association of Blind. The project started on January 15, 2007 and will last till January 15, 2009. Its aim is identifying criteria for quality in the training of people with disabilities.
The first international meeting under the project will be held in Plovdiv on February 19 and 20, 2007.

The National Rehabilitation Center for the Blind took part in the international project for empowerment of young visually impaired people. 8 young people - students from the towns of Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna took part in 5-day seminars in the Arla Institute – Finland and Sonneheerdt Foundation – the Netherlands in the frameworks of the project. The participants had the chance to make useful contacts with their colleagues from Estonia, Lithuania, Finland and the Netherlands. The rich social program afforded a lot of pleasant moments for the participants.

From 23 to 26 March the third international partner meeting of Access to Art: Right not Privilege! was held in Plovdiv - the Bulgarian city main office of our project leader

The meeting was held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere of great complicity and attention among the partners that greeted the new representative of Fundecyt Ms. Teresa Munoz

The themes discussed during the meeting were: - the drawing up of tactil diagrams - the communiction of the project - the materials to be produced - the training courses to realise in Bulgaria, Slovakia and Spain

Next meeting is fixed for September in Spain. In the meantime the activities to do are a lot. Have a good job!!!
